The 90-day visibility timeline: what actually happens
Anyone who promises your phone will ring differently in a week is guessing or lying. Search engines and AI assistants trust businesses with a consistent published record, and records take time to build. Here's what the first ninety days actually look like when the work is done properly.
Days 1–30: repair
The first month is mostly cleanup. Listings get reconciled so every directory and map service tells the same story. The website gets its crawler problems fixed — access rules, structured data, service pages that say what you do and where. The first pieces of real content go out. Externally, almost nothing visible happens yet, which is exactly why this month gets skipped by people selling fast results.
Days 31–60: the engines re-read you
Crawlers revisit sites and sources on their own schedules. During the second month, the repaired record starts replacing the old one in the engines' picture of your business. Findability is typically the first pillar to move — the sources engines trust now agree about you, and fresh material keeps arriving weekly. You may see early movement in map results and the occasional AI answer that includes you where it didn't before.
Days 61–90: the answers start to shift
By the third month, the pattern most of our clients see is inclusion: your name starts appearing in answers alongside the incumbents. Being the single recommended answer takes longer and depends on your market's competition, but inclusion is the threshold that matters — it's when customers who ask an assistant can find you at all.
What we report along the way
Because the early work is invisible from the outside, we send a one-page monthly report: what was published, where you showed up, what moved. We re-run the same GEO score we ran on day one, so progress is a number you can compare, not a feeling. Most clients see meaningful lead flow inside six months; sixty to ninety days is where the first believable movement shows up.
If a vendor promises faster, ask them which of these steps they're skipping.
